Pro 6.0 grades are produced using Kookaburra’s hybrid willow technology. This creates a value for money option for entry level players. These are factory fitted with Armour Tec facing for extra protection.
Kookaburra Pre-Prepared (KPP) is a process developed to help minimise the time between purchasing your new Kookaburra bat and taking it out to the crease. Hybrid Willow Technology has been fitted with an Armour Tec facing, along with fibreglass tape on the edges. We have pressed the blade and boned the edges for extra durability. The rear of the bat has a natural finish so you will need to apply a few light coats of raw linseed oil to seal the natural moisture content into the bat. Kookaburra still recommends starting with older balls and low speed throw downs before facing a new ball. Regardless of a bat receiving the KPP service, and any additional knocking in, it is natural for a bat the to have some surface cracks and general wear and tear after use. Knocking in does not make the piece of willow indestructible.
Kookaburra junior cricket bats are 100% handcrafted with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship that our senior bats receive. They have been produced in a mid-profile shape that allows us to produce light weight bats that don’t impede on young cricketers’ techniques, while still having generous edges to ensure maximum power is achieved with every shot.
